"Voces veracruzanas" is a grouping of young musicians from Veracruz, interpreters o Latin-American and Veracruzano Folklore. The group has over than 10 years of trajectory performing on several events inside and outside Mexico.
Group was formed on 1997 by the director Rafael Dominguez, Taking “ Voces Veracruzanas” to Tours to: Unites States, Peru, Venezuela, Colombia, Ecuador, France, Spain, Belgium, Germany, Poland and Unites Arab Emirates.
Has performed of few Folkloric ballet as it emphasizes “Quetzalli” and “El Ballet de la Escuela Industrial” of Xalapa City.
On its trajectory recorded three Albums : “Paraiso Veracruzano”, “Arpa de Mi tierra” and “Elfego Villegas”, Albums that includes music “jarocha”, Mexican as well as Latin-American.
“Voces Veracruzanas” have done concerts on the city that saw them be born (Xalapa, Veracruz), performing on the best Theaters as of “Teatro del Estado” and “El Agora de la ciudad” As well as several other Cities all over the Mexican Republic as well as Participating of the Editions of National and regional Harp ENCUENTROS in fact an endless list of artistic and cultural events.
At the moment group is formed by: (Harpist and Director): Rafael Dominguez, Elfego Villegas (guitarist and Singer ): Juan Jose Alarcon (Bassist): and Omar Aguilera (percussionist).
Our mission
To spread out the Latin-American and “Folklore Veracruzano” (Folklore of Veracruz); using the Veracruz Harp as an ESTANDARTE and to bring up the new generation of our Folklore.
